Skip Bins for Landscapers and Gardeners

If you are a professional landscaper and gardener, you are in the business of creating beautiful outdoor spaces for your clients. You are also likely producing a lot of not-so-beautiful waste that you need to responsibly dispose of. Fortunately, waste management doesn’t need to be complicated thanks to Jim’s Skip Bins!

We provide various types of skip bins so all of your waste requirements are taken care of. With Jim’s Skip Bins, you can rest assured that your waste is handled by the professionals and you won’t risk breaking any regulations.

Our relevant waste types

To ensure your waste can be properly disposed of, you need to choose the right skip bin type. At Jim’s, we differentiate our skips by waste type.Landscapers and gardeners will likely need green waste, soil & dirt types, and construction & building waste skip types to manage their waste.

It’s important to note that you can’t mix waste types. For example, you can’t put rubble and bricks into your green waste skip bin.

Green Waste

If you are working in a garden or outside on a property, you’ll likely be generating some green waste. This waste type is best defined as organic material such as lawn clippings, flowers and plants, sticks, branches and tree trunks. Don’t place any putrescible waste, like dead animals, faeces or anything else that may rot and attract pests in your skip.

Soil & Dirt Waste

Landscaping and gardening can involve the removal of significant soil and dirt which may need to be disposed of. Our soil and dirt waste type enables you to easily dispose of these materials in a designated skip bin. Keep in mind that this waste type only accepts soil and dirt. To dispose of organic waste like plants and sticks, then you will also need a green waste skip bin.

Construction & Building Waste

Creating a beautiful new timber deck or ripping up an old brick courtyard? As part of executing your landscaping vision, you will need to manage your construction and building waste. You can use our bricks, concrete, timber, metal and steel, and rubble in your skip. Some building materials like wet paint, asbestos and E-waste can’t be placed in this skip type.

FAQs

What skip bins are suitable for landscapers and gardeners?

Jim’s Skip Bins provides a range of skip bins designed to suit landscaping and gardening work. Depending on your project, this can include green waste skip bins, soil and dirt skip bins, and construction and building waste skip bins. Our team can help you choose the right option based on the waste you generate.

What types of waste do landscapers and gardeners typically produce?

Landscaping and gardening projects often produce green waste such as grass clippings, branches and plants, as well as soil and dirt from excavation work. Some projects may also generate construction waste like bricks, concrete, timber or rubble when removing or installing hard landscaping features.

Can I mix green waste, soil and construction waste in one skip bin?

No, waste types cannot be mixed in the same skip bin. Each skip bin is assigned to a specific waste type to ensure it can be disposed of correctly. For example, soil, bricks or rubble cannot be placed in a green waste skip bin.

What can go in a green waste skip bin?

Green waste skip bins are suitable for organic materials such as lawn clippings, plants, flowers, branches, sticks and tree offcuts. Putrescible waste such as dead animals, faeces or anything that may rot or attract pests must not be placed in the bin.

What can go in a soil and dirt skip bin?

Soil and dirt skip bins are designed specifically for soil and dirt only. Organic materials such as plants, roots and branches are not accepted in this waste type and will require a separate green waste skip bin.

What construction waste can landscapers dispose of?

Construction and building waste skip bins can be used for materials such as bricks, concrete, timber, metal, steel and rubble generated during landscaping projects. Items such as wet paint, asbestos and e-waste cannot be placed in this skip type.

What skip bin size do landscapers usually need?

The skip bin size you need will depend on the scale of your landscaping project and the type of waste being removed. Smaller bins are ideal for garden clean ups, while larger bins suit major landscaping work or property clear outs. If you are unsure, we often recommend sizing up to avoid overfilling.

Can Jim’s Skip Bins service landscaping businesses Australia-wide?
