It’s important to note that you can’t mix and match waste types within your skip bin. For example, if you have an E-waste skip bin then you can’t put any green waste or other waste types in that skip. If you mix waste types, we won’t be able to properly dispose of your waste.

Waste We Can’t Accept
There are some specific waste types that we can’t accept in any of our skip bins.
These include, but are not limited to:
- Asbestos
- Putrescible waste (anything that will decay, rot or attract pests)
- Wet paint (dry paint is accepted)
- Flammable materials
- Poison & other hazardous chemicals

What size bin will I need?
The size of a skip bin will vary depending on the type of waste that you are disposing of and the quantity. Our skip bins are measured in cubic metres and we often recommend sizing up to avoid overfilling or multiple hires.
An easy way to understand the capacity of a skip bin, is to compare with wheelie bins and trailers.
- A smaller skip bin such as a 2 cubic metre bin will hold the same as 8 wheelie bins and 2 trailer loads
- A 4 cubic metre bin is roughly equivalent to 12 wheelie bins and 4 trailer loads
- A larger bin like 6 cubic metres will have the same capacity as 24 wheelie bins and 6 trailer loads
